Community Projects
Iramoo Community Centre is actively involved in meaningful community projects that bring people together, foster kindness, and strengthen local connections.
One of its standout initiatives is the 1000 Hearts kindness project, where community members make felt hearts to give to people facing challenges such as loneliness, illness, or grief - spreading compassion throughout the Wyndham community.

The centre also nurtures its Community Garden Project, a welcoming space where volunteers of all ages can come together to grow vegetables, herbs and plants while connecting with others and learning through hands-on gardening activities.

Through these projects and other collaborative activities, Iramoo Community Centre plays a vital role in building a more connected, supportive, and resilient neighbourhood.

Current Projects

1000 Hearts is global kindness initiative where community members make felt hearts to gift to those experiencing challenges such as loneliness, illness, or bereavement.

Since 2021 Iramoo Community Centre has donated over 500 handmade hearts to Wyndham Veterinary Clinic and Palliative Care Unit at The Werribee Mercy Hospital who have then passed them on to people who are facing challenges.
